About the Therapy

Evidence-based without the “Stuffy”.

Compassionate without the “Fluffy".

At Greenwood Psychology, therapy is grounded in solid research and real-world results. Much of the therapy conducted here is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic therapy. CBT is an approach that targets thoughts and behaviours that ultimately contribute to mood and mental health challenges, while Psychodynamic therapy focuses on unconscious processes and how they might come into play in present relationships.

We’re here for professionals and high-functioning adults who want practical strategies, deeper insight, and a therapist who doesn’t dance around the truth. Expect candour, humour, and compassion - not jargon or sugar-coating.

We may be the right fit if you are seeking help with:

  • Anxiety, overthinking, and relentless worry

  • Fear and phobias

  • Social Anxiety or difficulties building and maintaining relationships

  • Panic attacks or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Stress related to existential issues or “the state of the world”

Or if you are looking for therapy that is structured, practical, and down-to earth.

At Greenwood Psychology, we believe therapy works best when it’s a collaborative, active process. If you’re reflective, motivated, and ready to put in the work in between sessions, you’ll find our approach both challenging and rewarding.
