The standard fee for a 60-minute session
is $235, in alignment with the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta’s recommended rate.Sessions are a full 60 minutes.
90-minute sessions are offered at $350/session.
We accept payment by credit card or e-transfer, and provide detailed receipts which can be submitted to insurance providers or claimed as a medical expense on your income tax return.

Greenwood Psychology can direct bill to Alberta Blue Cross and Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB). If you have coverage through another provider, you will receive an invoice after your session to submit for reimbursement. Some clients may also have access to Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) or other benefit streams — we encourage you to review your plan prior to starting therapy.

Yes! I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation for new clients to help determine if we are a good fit before beginning therapy. If together we decide that our services may not be the best match for your needs, I will support you in finding other resources or providers that may be a better fit.

While session frequency may vary depending on individual preferences, availability, and the nature of treatment, research typically suggests that weekly or biweekly sessions yield the best results, as this keeps up the “momentum” of therapy. As things progress, we can “space out” session frequency as required. Ultimately, session frequency will depend on your goals and will be discussed early in therapy.

Yes! Sliding scale sessions are sessions that are offered at a reduced rate to make therapy more accessible for those who might otherwise be unable to afford it. These sessions are typically reserved for individuals with depleted benefits, students, or those experiencing acute symptoms who could benefit from a focused treatment plan. Due to demand, sliding scale sessions may have a waitlist. Please contact us to inquire about current availability.
